Future Business Leaders of America (FLBA)

Future Business Leaders of America is an organization/club for students interested in business careers. Pictured are students who competed in Regional competition at APSU on March 4, 2008. We have four winners. Any student who has taken a business class or is currently taking a business class is eligible to join. The top five places in each category will advance to the state competition in Chattanooga in April. Winners were:

Public Speaking I Brittany Holt - 9^thPlace

Economics Anna Huffaker - 9^th Place

Introduction to Business Communication Lisa Conklin - 4^th Place

FBLA Principles and Procedures Brittony Cockcroft - 3^rd Place

Our mission statement is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

Organizational Motto/Creed:

I believe education is the right of every person.

I believe every person has the right to earn a living at a useful occupation.

I believe every person should take responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit to self, associates, school, and community.

I believe I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly. I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone.
